Mahavishnu Orchestra - Birds of Fire

Birds of Fire is Mahavishnu Orchestra's second album. It was released in the first half of 1973 and is the last studio album by the original Mahavishnu Orchestra line-up, before the group dissolved, although Between Nothingness and Eternity, a live album, was recorded and released later that same year.
As in the case of The Mahavishnu Orchestra's previous album, The Inner Mounting Flame, Birds of Fire consists solely of compositions by John McLaughlin. This includes the track "Miles Beyond (Miles Davis)", which McLaughlin dedicated to his friend and former bandleader.
The back cover of the LP features a poem entitled "Revelation" by Sri Chinmoy. A remastered version of the album, on CD, was released in 2000 by Sony Music Entertainment. It features a facsimile of the LP cover and a new set of liner notes by Bill Milkowski, as well as photographs of the band.


Este es el segundo y último disco de la primera alineación de la Mahavishnu Orchestra y fue lanzado a principios de 1973, esto antes de que el grupo se disolviera, pero el disco "Between Nothingness and Eternity" en vivo, fue grabado y lanzado mas tarde ese mismo año.
Como en su primer disco "The Inner Mounting Flame", Birds of Fire consiste en solamente en composiciones de John McLaughlin. Este incluye el track "Miles Beyond" (Miles Davis), el cual está dedicado a su amigo y antiguo compañero de banda Miles Davis.
Al reverso del LP trae un poema titulado "Revelation" de Sri Chinmov. El disco re-lanzado en el 2000 por Sony. Es un facsimile del disco original, con sus notas originales y las fotos de la banda. Un disco excepcional, de rock fusión.

Solo hay que ver la alineación para saber que es un disco especial, cuando juntas a "genios" el resultado es espectacular, a rockanrolear.

Visions Of The Emerald Beyond es el segundo disco de la segunda alineación de la banda liderada por John McLaughlin y aumentada por el violinista francés Jean-Luc Ponty. Es tal vez un poco menos agresivo que el primero de esta iteración de Mahavishnu Orchestra, pero hay una mayor cohesión y interacción entre los músicos.

Visions Of The Emerald Beyond is the second disc of the second lineup of the band led by John McLaughlin and augmented by the French violinist Jean-Luc Ponty. It is perhaps a little less aggressive than the first iteration of the Mahavishnu Orchestra, but there is a greater cohesion and interaction between musicians.

De este guey no se puede hablar mucho, solo que es una pinche pistola en barras de calabaza jajaja super bueno y luego que siempre se rodeo de puro chinguetas, pus ni hablar, disfrutenlo y a rocanrolaear.

I can´t tell u about this guy that hasn't been said before, but you cant say about him is dope, he´s always surrounded with great people, well I've got nothing else to say about it so, enjoy keep on rockin'!

Mahavishnu Orchestra - Inner Mountain Flame

Album debut de la Mahavishnu Orchestra el cual estaba formado por el master Mahavishnu John McLaughlin en guitarra acústica y guitarra eléctrica, y los miembros Billy Cobham, anteriormente co-fundador del grupo Dreams, músico de sesión y con Deodato, en la percusión, Rick Laird (bajo eléctrico y acústico), Jan Hammer en piano eléctrico y acústico, y Jerry Goodman, que había sido líder del grupo The Flock, en el violín.

McLaughlin tenía ideas muy locochonas acerca de cómo instrumentar un grupo, buscando siempre el concepto de mezclar géneros a la hora de componer. Especialmente, buscaba un violinista.

Luego hizo patente su guitarra de doble cuello (con 6 y 12 cuerdas), y Hammer añadió un sintetizador Moog, lo cual le permitió entablar un diálogo con el lenguaje de la guitarra de McLaughlin y el resultado fue un álbum chidísimo que desprende de sus adentros un sonido jazz con influencias progresivas, por lo tanto, el álbum se desarrolla en un ambiente místico envuelto en un jazz ecléctico un punch que nunca habíamos oido, muy cabrón, en si, un álbum intenso, “extrovertido”, complejo, audaz y que es notable en los jams y solos que se avientan, algo muy chido, en pocas palabras un disco CHIN-GON-SÍSIMO bueno yo que no soy un experto pero tengo años de escuchar buenas bandas, me pareció fuera de este mundo, bueno ahí se los dejo, para que lo escuchen, saludos a todos...
