The Allman Brothers Band - The Fillmore Concerts

El lanzamiento original fue grabado el 12 y 13 de marzo de 1971, de una serie de shows y puesto en un album doble bajo el nombre de "The Allman Brothers Band at Fillmore East". Esta grabación fue lanzada en vinilo y se ha sacado en diversas versiones en vinil y CD en varios estados de limpieza sónica. Aunque es un super disco, estaba incompleto. Las rolas que no cupieron en este album doble fueron puestas en diversos discos, como Eat a Peach (Trouble no More, One Way Out y Mountain Jam), en la antología de Duane Allman (Don't Keep Me Wondering), y en la recopilación Dreams (Drunken-Hearted Boy). No fue hasta que sacaron este album "The Fillmore Concerts" que se juntaron todas las rolas que tocaron en el Fillmore. Esta recolección trae entonces todo lo que tocaron en esa epoca en el famosísimo teatro Fillmore y nos da idea de como esa gran banda abrió breacha a todas las bandas que le siguieron del llamado Southern Rock, del cual son la máxima expresión, este grupo es uno de mis favoritos, así que ahí se los dejo, ya lo teníamos en este blog, pero ya saben lo mamones que son los gueyes de rapidshare, asi que aquí se los dejo @256 VBR mp3 high quality (Lame). 

The original release was taken from a March 12 and 13, 1971 series of shows under the title, The Allman Brothers Band at Fillmore East. This recording was originally released on vinyl and has seen at multiple releases on compact disc with various stages of sonic cleansing. While a great musical document, The Allman Brothers Band at Fillmore East remains a robust torso, not fully complete. Songs from the Fillmore concerts not included on The Allman Brothers Band at Fillmore East are found strewn across Eat A Peach ("Trouble No More", "One Way Out" and "Mountain Jam"), Duane Allman: An Anthology ("Don't Keep Me Wondering") and The Allman Brothers Band: Dreams ("Drunken-Hearted Boy"). It was not until the release of The Allman Brothers Band: The Fillmore Concerts that all of the Fillmore performances were collected in one release. "One Way Out" was the only song not actually recorded on March 12^th or 13^th. It was recorded on June 27, 1971 at the last Fillmore concert before the hall closed. "One Way Out" had been performed during the March shows, but producer Tom Dowd felt that the June performance was the definitive one. This re-collection of all of the songs from the Fillmore shows is the first reason I chose to include The Allman Brothers Band: The Fillmore Concerts rather than the original The Allman Brothers Band at Fillmore East. A second reason was that this re-collection conveniently brought together the songs that completely define the Allman Brothers Band sound and illustrate the effect of that sound on the Blues and its offshoot, Southern Rock.

Al DiMeola - Elegant Gypsy (Remastered ripped from vinyl)

Superguitarrista de Jazz-Fusion, aquí acompañado de Paco De Lucía (extraordinario guitarrista español, aunque solo en un track), y de Jan Hammer (Mahavishnu Orchestra, Jeff Beck, etc), Mingo Lewis en las percusiones, y Lenny White en la batería. En uno de sus obras mas exitosas. A tenido colaboraciones con muchos de los mejores jazzistas del mundo, Chick Corea, Stanely Clark, etc.

En esta ocasión remasterizado por su servidor, ya que el disco que tengo de vinil está bastante viejo y pues a los estandares de hoy suena muy mal, no tiene nada de graves o agudos y no se diga del volumen, bueno le dimos su arregladita con Cool Edit Pro, y lo baje a 32 bits en wave para hacerlo CD y luego subirlo a mp3 a 256bits, con velocidad variable, espero les guste, a mi me suena muy bien, o mucho mejor que antes, saludos

GTR - Remastered (vinyl ripped)

GTR fue una banda formada por los guitarristas de Yes y Asia en 1985 Steve Howe y Steve Hackett. En comparación con sus trabajos anteriores aquí siguieron un formato mas tranquilón mas "middle of the road". La banda duró poco, solamente dos años y un disco. Hackett hoy se queja de este proyecto, pero no necesariamente de los músicos integrantes de el. A mi siempre me pareción un disco muy chingón, pero algo raro pues los dos guitarristas son grandes figuras del rock progresivo, y aquí tocaban un rock mas tranquilo, pero un buen grupo sin lugar a dudas y con músicos muy competentes y se oyen muy bien. La grabación original (cuando menos en México) estaba mas plana que una pinche tortilla, así que lo metí en el programa Cool Edit Pro, y lo grabé en formato wav a 32bits, luego lo pasé por el equalizador gráfico y le di un toquecito a graves y agudos, para luego aumentar el volumen a lo máximo permitido, espero les guste el invento, a mi me suena muy bien (por fin se escucha el bajo chingaos!). 

NOTA: El nombre GTR es usado en la grabación multicanal en estudios de grabación profesional, y es la abreviacion de "guitarra" en inglés. 

GTR - were a rock band founded in 1985 by former Yes and Asia guitarist Steve Howe and former Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett. In comparison to the two leaders' earlier work within progressive rock, GTR's work followed more of an AOR format. The band was short-lived, lasting for two years and one album. Hackett has subsequently been strongly critical of the project, though not necessarily of the other musicians involved in it.

The band's name came from an abbreviation of "guitar" as used for track labelling in multi-track recording studios.
