Canned Heat - Cook Book

Canned Heat is a blues-rock/boogie rock band that formed in Los Angeles, California in 1965. The group has been noted for its own interpretations of blues material as well as for efforts to promote the interest in this type of music and its original artists. It was launched by two blues enthusiasts, Alan Wilson and Bob Hite, who took the name from Tommy Johnson's 1928 "Canned Heat Blues", a song about an alcoholic who had desperately turned to drinking Sterno, generically called "canned heat". After appearances at Monterey and Woodstock, at the end of the 1960s the band acquired worldwide fame with a lineup consisting of Bob Hite, vocals, Alan "Blind Owl" Wilson, guitar, harmonica and vocals, Henry Vestine (or Harvey Mandel) on lead guitar, Larry Taylor on bass, and Adolfo "Fito" de la Parra on drums.

Canned Heat '70 Concert Live in Europe es un album en vivo del grupo de blues-boogie Canned Heat (Calor Enlatado). Fue grabado de varios conciertos en vivo en su tour en Europa, inmediatamente después de la muerte de Alan Wilson, fue su primer album oficial en vivo. 

Canned Heat '70 Concert Live In Europe is a 1970 live album by Canned Heat. The album is taken from various locations on live concert European tour right before Alan Wilson’s death and is the band's first officially released live album.

Canned Heat - Hallelujah (Remastered)

Hallelujah es el cuarto album del grupo de blues-boogie Canned Heat (Calor enlatado), lanzado al mercado en 1969. Como todo lo que sacaban estaba lleno de blues rockero, algo que me parecía excelente pues ya estaba en esa onda desde chavo (estaba en primero de secu), así que desde ahí me convertí en su mas fiel fan, me encantaba su forma de tocar y me alucinaba como tocaban, eso que lo escuchaba en un tocadisco mierdísima de esos de librito, pero yo los escuchaba de poca madre. Bueno este disquito tiene rolas memorables, como Same all Over, Time Was (con Alan Wilson), también cuenta con la participación del gran bajista Larry Taylor, nomás pónganle atención tocaba con John Mayall, y unos coros de mas ni menos que Javier Batiz (guitarrista mexicano), muy buen disco sin duda, ahí se los dejo @256 VBR en mp3, para que se escuche bien, saludos a toda la banda.

Hallelujah is the fourth album by Canned Heat, released in 1969. This album contains pretty good songs such as Same all Over, Canned Heat theme, Sic 'em Pigs, Time was (with Alan Wilson) and has the participation of the great bass player Larry Taylor ex-John Mayall, and helping in the voices mexican guitarrist Javier Batiz, well a good record non the less, enjoy!

Historical Figures and Ancient Heads Es el sexto album de Canned Heat, lanzado en 1971. Fue el primer disco en el que no aparecía el gran cantante y escritor de canciones, Alan Wilson (ya fallecido un año antes), con la participación del nuevo guitarrista Joel Scott Hill y la gran figura del rock Little Richard en la rola "Rockin' with the King" (rocanroleando con el Rey). Este disco también incluye al mexicano Tony de la Barreda en el bajo, que dejó Canned Heat después del Tour y haber grabado este disco. También en la alineación estaba el mexicano Fito de la Parra (baterista) que todavía hoy en día sigue en la agrupación. Estos cabrones son de mis favoritos, mi primer disco cuando estaba en 6o de primaria fue precisamente el Boogie with Canned Heat. Me tocó ir a verlos varias veces, una vez en la Alameda Central del Defectuoso, Mexico City, después los fui a ver al antro "La Jirafa" en la zona rosa con mi novia Paty (mi actual esposa por 31 años), nos quedamos a los dos shows, y la regañaron en su casa cabrón! Después los fui a ver al Ferrocarrilero, por allá por Tlatelolco (con mi cuñado Benjamín, nos la pasamos chingón), con la alineación de este disco, un concierto muy bueno pero diferente al viejo Canned Heat, bueno recordar es vivir sin duda, aquí se los dejo  @256 VBR, en mp3, saludos a todos, que tengan un chido fin de semana.

Historical Figures and Ancient Heads is the sixth album by Canned Heat, released in 1971. It was the first album not to feature original member and songwriter Alan Wilson who had died the previous year. Featuring new guitarman Joel Scott Hill and Little Richard on “Rockin’ WIth The King”. The record also includes Tony de la Barreda on bass, who left with Hill after this album and subsequent tour.

Canned Heat - Boogie with Canned Heat

Este es un gran disco de 1968, hasta sin los tracks de regalo, yo creo que queda muy bien parado a la prueba del tiempo. Es en realidad una joya perdida en el tiempo.

Además cabe mencionar al guitarrista Henry Vestine que fue un guitarrista bastante incomprendido y fue un muy buen guitarrista de blues. En esa época Jimi Hendrix solía ir a verlo para aprender algo de su estilo. Era mas un bien un guitarrista de boogie-blues que solamente de blues puro como Michael Bloomfield, pero tan bueno como ellos.

Los guitarristas jóvenes deberían echarle un vistazo a este cabrón, así como a Mike Bloomfield (el cual es indispensable conocer, para cualquier buen guitarrista, o aspirante a ello). Entre la alineación esta el ex-baterista de los Los Hooligans y de Javier Batiz; Fito de la Parra, que luego se fue a los Estado Unidos y se unió a Canned Heat.

He escuchado este disco por unos 32 años, (ya no pago tenencia, pero sigo circulando) lo escuché cuando estaba en 6to de primaria y lo llevó mi hermano, y no mánches, era un alucine para mi!, la neta no me canso de oírlo, es muy bueno, ahí se los dejo…

Canned Heat - Uncanned Lo Mejor de Canned Heat

Estos chavos si que la sabían hacer, me pasé toda mi juventud oyendo al Canned Heat, hasta los fui a ver tocar en la Alameda del Defectuoso, en una tarde de domingo, aparte de que la recopilación no tiene progenitora, (hasta las hermanas de la vela perpetua la elogian), el sonido está muy mejorado de los antiguos CDs o Lps que tengo por acá guardados, así que aparte de chido esta con mejor sonido, bueno pues a blusear se ha dicho!
