Ballin' Jack - Ballin' Jack

Ballin' Jack 'fue un grupo estadounidense de rock y metales formado en Seattle, Washington en 1969 por Luther Rabb (bajo y voz) y Ronnie Hammon (batería). Ellos tuvieron un éxito menor en 1970 con "Súper Carretera", que alcanzó el # 90 en el Billboard Top 100.

Rabb y Hammon se inspiraron en el éxito de su amigo de la infancia, de Jimi Hendrix. Añadieron Glenn Thomas en la guitarra y, en los metales, eran Jim Coile y McFarland Tim. Se mudó a Los Ángeles, California, y vivió en una mansión casa-estudio cerca del Sunset Strip. Hendrix pidió al grupo que fueran junto con él en su 1970 "Cry of Love" tour.

Durante 1969 - 1974 Ballin' Jack 'estuvo de gira arriba y abajo de la costa oeste. Siguieron giras por Estados Unidos en todo el país de calentamiento de muchas de las bandas en lugares como el Fillmore East y West. Ballin' Jack was an American horn rock group formed in Seattle, Washington in 1969 by Luther Rabb (bass and vocals) and Ronnie Hammon (drums). They had a minor hit in 1970 with "Super Highway", which hit #90 on the Billboard Top 100.

Rabb and Hammon were inspired by the success of their childhood friend, Jimi Hendrix. They added Glenn Thomas on guitar and, on the horns, were Jim Coile and Tim McFarland. They moved to Los Angeles, California and lived in a mansion home-studio near the Sunset Strip. Hendrix asked the group to come along with him on his 1970 "Cry Of Love" tour.

During 1969 - 1974 Ballin' Jack headlined up and down the West Coast. They went on nationwide US tours warming up for many of the bands at venues like the Fillmore East and West. They were on the bill of several large music festivals of the era. They also played in Japan, where they were well received.

By 1975, the band had broken up. Luther Rabb later toured with Santana and, both he and Ronnie Hammon, later joined War.
