El Album de Paul McCartney - Tripping the Live Fantastic: Highlights! es una versión corta del doble CD Tripping the Live Fantastic de Paul McCartney.
Junto a la forma extendida, documenta la gira The Paul McCartney World Tour, llevada a cabo para promocionar el álbum de estudio Flowers in the Dirt.

Desechando todas las pruebas de sonido y dejando los mejores temas, la edición abreviada de Tripping the Live Fantastic contiene de forma exclusiva el tema "All My Trials", que no se puede encontrar en la versión completa.

A pesar de no entrar en las listas británicas, Tripping the Live Fantastic: Highlights! alcanzó el puesto #141 en Estados Unidos, convirtiéndose en disco de platino, mientras su forma extendida no llegó ni siquiera a disco de oro. Después de comprar esta versión se me ocurrió comprar el album doble, y siempre me ha gustado mas este, así que ahí les va @256 VBR, que los disfruten, siempre es un agazajo escuchar al maestro McCartney.

Tripping the Live Fantastic is Paul McCartney's first official live album and his first release of concert material since Wings' 1976 Wings over America live package. It was released in 1990 as triple LP, double cassette and double CD. Tripping the Live Fantastic reached #16 in the UK and #26 in the US. It was also simultaneously released in an abridged form, entitled Tripping the Live Fantastic: Highlights!.
