La banda de rock sureño Rossington Collins Band fue formada en 1979 por el guitarrista Allen Collins and Gary Rossington después del accidente aereo de 1977 que mató a tres miembros de Lynyrd Skyryrd, del agrupación a la cual habían pertenecido. En esta bandita también participaban otros dos miembros de Lynyrd Skynyrd sobrivivientes del avionazo, Billy Powell y Leon Wilkeson. Esta banda quería desarrollar su propio estilo de rock, en vez de que los consideraran como ex_Lyryrd skynyrd, y para esto contrataron una chava como cantante principal, Dale Krantz, que mas tarde se casaría con Rossington (estaba chida la chava) y cantaba chingón. Sacaron un par de discos y en 1982 se separaron. A mi siempre me gustó mucho la mezcla de este rock con la voz de Dale Krants y es uno de mis discos favoritos a ver si les gusta.

The band included two other surviving members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, Billy Powell and Leon Wilkeson.
The band wished to develop their own sound rather than being regarded
as a reformed Lynyrd Skynyrd, and toward that objective they hired a
female lead vocalist, Dale Krantz, who later married Rossington. The Jacksonville-based band released two albums before disbanding in 1982. Their biggest hit, "Don't Misunderstand Me," charted in late 1980.
